Vacuum drying is used to remove residual moisture and solvents from coated daughter rolls through a controlled low-pressure evaporation process. The daughter rolls are placed onto specialized goods carriers and stored in a vacuum oven, where they undergo a drying cycle lasting between 12 to 30 hours. By reducing total pressure, moisture is effectively removed at low temperatures. Once drying is complete, the coils are either transferred directly to a dry room or vacuum-packed to maintain dryness. Vacuum ovens are often utilized as air locks into dry rooms and can also be operated with inert gas to prevent corrosion, ensuring material integrity throughout the process.
