Digital Power Meter, 30A — Chroma 66205

Overview

The 66205 Digital Power Meter is the 2nd generation of the 66200 series designed specifically for single channel measurement and complies with IEC 62301/Energy Star power measurement frequency bandwidth > 3kHz (Filter ON) requirement. Six selectable voltage ranges are provided: 15/30/60/150/300/600 Vrms, with 1200Vrms optional and external sensor option A662023 available to increase voltage measurement range to 1.8kV. Current ranges are 0.005/ 0.02/ 0.05/ 0.2/ 0.3/ 0.5/ 2/ 5/ 20/ 30 Arms and the frequency range is DC, 15Hz~10kHz, with a low range error up to 0.05%. Measurement parameters available include Vrms, Vpeak+, Vpeak-, V_harmonic, V_THD, CFV (Crest Factor Voltage), Irms, Ipeak+, Ipeak-, I_harmonic, I_THD, Is (Inrush Current), CFI (Crest Factor Current), W, VA, VAR, PF, Freq_V, Freq_I, Wh, Ah, and ° (phase degree). The instrument uses a gapless continuous moving window average for parameter measurements, where the time frame equals data update rate × AVG number setting. Line filter is a digital low pass filter with attenuation ≥70dB and selectable cutoff frequencies OFF, 500 Hz and 5.5 kHz; the 5.5 kHz filter is compliant to IEC 61000-3-2 and is recommended for harmonic measurements. Additional features include Smart Range Function, user-defined criteria with automatic PASS/FAIL indications, voltage/current harmonics measurements up to 100 orders, and support for GPIB, USB, RS232 and LAN (option) interfaces. The 66205 is intended for single-channel power measurements and is capable of meeting the measurement uncertainty requirement of IEC 62301/EN50564.
