UNIKA Series

Overview

UNIKA Series is a modular capsule filling and sealing machine. Production plant: Spreafico Automation s.r.l. The machine handles any capsule type available on the market and can be fed in bulk or stacked; a denester is provided as a space-saving cost-effective solution for stackable capsules and a centrifugal unscrambler handles stackable and non-stackable capsules. A robotized depacker unit is available for Nespresso compatible aluminum stacked capsules only. Capsules can be closed at the top with aluminum film, micro perforated, filter paper, triplex coupled, PP and compostable lid, and filters and diaphragms can be inserted into capsules and on their bottom. Accurate product dosing is achieved through precise and extremely gentle product handling suitable for coffee with different densities, tea and soluble powders, and liquid flavor dosing is also possible. The machine features a pull-out operating system that significantly reduces line downtimes, allowing the entire production process to be monitored by a single operator from the front side, and an ergonomic cantilever design that provides accessibility for maintenance, service and cleaning from both the front and the back side. Fill and seal single-serve capsules with accurately dosed dry products such as coffee (including different densities), tea and soluble powders, with optional liquid flavor dosing. Filters and diaphragms can be inserted and capsules can be sealed with aluminum film, micro perforated material, filter paper, triplex coupled material, PP or compostable lids. Handle production lines feeding capsules in bulk or stacked using the denester for stackable capsules or the centrifugal unscrambler for stackable and non-stackable capsules; a robotized depacker is available specifically for Nespresso compatible aluminum stacked capsules. Configurations can reach up to 600 capsules per minute and available units include an aroma doser, nitrogen flushing unit and single capsule rejection for freshness preservation and quality assurance.
