NASA-GEVS Vibration Testing Simplified dLW140.153-CTS Turn-Key Vibration Test System

Overview

NASA-GEVS Vibration Testing Simplified dLW140.153-CTS Turn-Key Vibration Test System is a complete turn-key test station used to accomplish random and sinusoidal vibration testing required by GEVS GSFC-STD-7000 of a 1U CubeSat. The system is pre-programmed for the NASA testing required and includes a Labworks CubeSat 1.4 Kg (3 lb.) mass proof model with first mode of free-free >3500 Hz to provide validation of the integral mounting fixture (test pod). The integral test pod is designed for resonance free operation to 3500 Hz, allows the CubeSat to be rotated in the fixture to provide three axis testing, and provides maximum access to the CubeSat for monitoring and instrumentation during the test. System components include ET-140CS CubeSat Electrodynamic Shaker w/ Test Pod, dPA-153-7 dLAB Amplifier & Field Supply, VL-144/VL-145 Vibration Controller, CB-152-140 Shaker Cooling Vacuum, interconnect cables and hoses, and the optional AI-140CS Pneumatic Base Isolation leveling/isolation platform. The system is used to perform the random and sinusoidal vibration testing required by GEVS GSFC-STD-7000 for a 1U CubeSat and is pre-programmed for the NASA test profiles. The included 1.4 Kg (3 lb.) mass proof model is provided to validate the integral test pod mounting fixture while the pod’s rotation capability enables three axis testing and its access features support monitoring and instrumentation during tests. An optional patented pneumatic isolation and load leveling platform provides pneumatic isolation and load leveling for use on most laboratory test benches.
