Leica PowerBlade Scraper System

Overview

The Leica PowerBlade system is a complete solution steered by the MCP700 control box and offers a choice of laser receivers to tailor the system to the application. An extremely rugged electric mast MPM700 and a variety of hydraulic options complete the system, and all components have been developed to meet the extra strain experienced on dozers and agricultural tractors. The system is designed for advanced agricultural land levelling and provides survey capability, automatic averaging and a lift function. A variety of hydraulic valves can be operated and tuned (black/white, proportional, Danfoss), and the system offers a choice of manual or automatic level control of the machine. The MLS720 laser receiver provides a 360° capture range in a 190 mm (8”) window and five different indications of grade position, and the system delivers 2,5 mm (1/10”) accuracy independent of laser beam width. The receiver is waterproof (IP68) and communicates and is powered via CAN bus from the MCP700. The MCP700 control box shows five different indications of grade position including directional out-of-beam indicators, is water-resistant (IP65), uses a bright LED display readable in strong direct sunlight, and has two switches to select auto/manual mode and blade raise/lower. The MPM700 mast features a rugged design and an anti-vibration platform. The PowerBlade is an automated grading system for construction and agricultural tractors and can be mounted on scrapers, dozers and agricultural tractors to automatically control and adjust the work. It is designed for advanced agricultural land levelling and provides survey capability and automatic averaging to simplify levelling tasks. The lift function allows temporary blade lift without leaving automatic mode, which the product documentation highlights as especially helpful for coarse grading when large amounts of dirt are moved.
