QT-Ez

Overview

The QT-Ez Series is designed and built in Florence KY and features integrated spindle designs and high-rigidity machine structures. Roller guides on all linear axis, a 0.0001° C-axis indexing angle, and a thermal displacement control function (Thermal Shield) are included. Air and liquid cooled integral motor headstocks provide high-performance spindles. Milling turret configurations include a Bolt-on turret mounted to a roller gear cam direct index system and a 12-position BMT 55 turret with a non-lift roller gear cam design and random selection/shortest path indexing. Productivity enhancements listed include Mill Drive, Mill Holder II (Bolt-on only), position/hydraulic quill tailstock, servo-driven programmable CNC tailstock, a full contouring second spindle for DONE IN ONE® part processing (MSY), and Y-Axis options (MY, MSY). Automation options include COBOT, Bar Feeder, Auto parts catcher, and Workpiece Conveyor, and ergonomics/maintainability features include an operator door, large window, ergonomically placed spindles, centralized maintenance, and color-coded cabling. The standard CNC system is Ez Operation with enhanced MAZATROL programming (QUICK MAZATROL), a 15-inch touch screen, customizable display and flexible CNC screen layout, MAZATROL DX virtual machine linkage, and SMC (SMOOTH MACHINING CONFIGURATION). Programming features listed include MAZATROL SmoothEz, QUICK MAZATROL, a re-threading function, override variable threading function, VCF function, Mazak MT Tablet, and Smooth CAM AI. Optional accessories and systems include automatic tool eye, high/low chuck pressure switching, automatic door, extra work light, 3-color signal tower, chip conveyor, air hose prep, coolant system options, additional head-side coolant nozzle, mist collector, Mazak SUPERFLOW 1000 psi high-pressure coolant systems, Coolant temparature control, and coolant gun. The QT-Ez Series explicitly supports turning and milling operations and offers Y-axis and second-spindle (MSY) designs for expanded machining capability. The Bolt-on turret and use of rotary tools are described as enabling multi-tasking and fast, repeatable part changeover, and the full contouring second spindle is provided for DONE IN ONE® part processing. Available automation options such as COBOT, Bar Feeder, Auto parts catcher, and Workpiece Conveyor are listed alongside chip disposal and coolant system options to support automated part handling and machining setups.
