DORST Technologies GmbH
Model Overview & Specs
Overview
DGM120Z is a pressure-casting system suitable for hollow and solid casting and for single and multi-cavity molds. Number of clamping platens: 4. Closing force: max. 1200 kN; Casting pressure: max. 40 bar; Moldblock: max. 1000 x 960 x 450 mm. Output: approx. 20 40 cycles per hour. Closing pressure is generated by means of an air/oil pressure intensifier and the machine provides closing force adjustment and adjustment of closing pressure according to the slip pressure. The system can operate in pressure- or path-controlled mode for different mold systems. Quick and simple mold change is possible due to an optional quick-action clamping system and an optional mold change crane. The machine is described as energy-efficient and silent and allows possible expansion to TWIN CELL production cells. Article removal can be performed manually or by robot, and cell arrangements can include up to three pressing heads per robot with automatic change of suction heads at the removal robot. Fettling station options include spruce cutters, fans and suction head racks, and fettling and conveyor systems support article depositing on setters, conveyor systems, drying plates or drying swings. Supported technologies include ceramic pressure casting, solid casting, hollow casting, porous resin molds and post-solidification. The machine supports single and multi-cavity molds and can run in pressure- or path-controlled modes with closing pressure adjusted according to slip pressure. Production can use manual or robotic article removal with automated suction-head changes, integrated fettling stations and conveyor/drying deposition options, and cell configurations allow mold change at one plant while other plants of the cell continue working.
