Model Overview & Specs

Overview

Model AU-600iA is part of the AU-Series standard wire-cut EDM. Specifications: - Max. Work Piece Size L x W x H (mm): 990 x 620 x 295 - Max. Work Piece Weight (kg): 600kg - X x Y x Z stroke (mm): 600 x 400 x 300 (Opt.Z400) mm - U x V Stroke (mm): 100 x 100 mm - Max. Water Level in Working Tank: 270 - Wire Spool Weigh (kg): 10kg - Foot Print (mm): 2950 x 2560 x 2210 - Machine Weight (kg): 3700kg - Water System Capacity: 850L - Max. Cutting Tapper: ± 21 ° H=100 The machine body is designed by finite Element Analysis (FEA) and features a honeycomb-type base, a high-rigidity column mounted with oversized UVZ axes, and a reinforced low-arm formed by melting alloy to increase stiffness. High speed EF (Electrolysis Free) discharge method is employed to minimize workpiece cracking or electrolyze problems, to minimize cation movement to the cathode, and to reduce release of elements like iron, carbon, cobalt, molybdenum; using EF from rough to fine cut can reach the average gap voltage to zero and increases the life cycle of moulds by 5 or 6 times compared with traditional cutting. The Accutex AWT intelligent servo-control wire-threading system with multi-detectors provides high-speed, reliable threading for highly efficient auto-machining. Precision motion components include 32, C1 class ball screws with sub-zero and super-finish ground process, high-response AC servomotors, optional linear scale close-loop feedback, laser-interferometer compensation for each axis, and Ball-Retainer type linear guides that reduce frictional variation by 90% compared to conventional guides. The EF (Electrolysis Free) discharge method is described as being used for making press moulds, increasing the life cycle of moulds by 5 or 6 times compared with traditional cutting, increasing the lift of the mold, and saving brass wire consumption. The AWT threading system and the straightened-and-melted wire end method enable high-speed automated threading and threading at the wire break point without returning to the start point; for workpiece thickness < 120mm it supports threading with ∮0.25/∮0.2 brass wire from the break point, it can directly thread wire for a workpiece of 300mm when the wire is above 0.25mm, and it can use the same method to thread wire of 0.1 mm. The system explicitly indicates no limits on taper machining because it does not use high pressure to assist threading and does not require special small-diameter flushing nozzles.
