Glost Firing Stoneware
Gruen (Grün)
Model Overview & Specs
Overview
The Glost Firing Stoneware is a chamber kiln loaded from the sidewall, which is constructed as a lifting door. It requires no tracks or kiln cars, so the full floor space of the hall around the kiln remains negotiable. The ware for firing is collected from the shaping station in small, easy-to-handle stacks that are set next to each other in the kiln. Technical data: Setting volume 7.8 m3; Firing temperature 1260 °C; Firing cycle 5.5 - 11.5 h; Temperature balance ± 5 K. An outstanding temperature balance is achieved for a defined kiln and setting geometry, with the arrangement/distribution of the firing gaps and burners and the flue gas control as preconditions. The chamber kiln is operated by loading ware collected from the shaping station in small stacks and placing those stacks next to each other inside the kiln via the sidewall lifting door. Because no tracks or traversers are required for kiln cars, the full floor space of the hall around the kiln remains negotiable and the design supports a low space requirement. The equipment provides extremely short firing cycles and an outstanding temperature balance (± 5 K) at a firing temperature of 1260 °C and firing cycles of 5.5 - 11.5 h.
