The XtaLAB Synergy-i is a full-sized single crystal X-ray diffractometer built for structural analysis of small molecule samples and includes a high-precision 4-circle kappa-geometry goniometer; the system now comes equipped with the UG3 goniometer for faster, more efficient data collections. The instrument is configured with a HyPix-Bantam hybrid solid-state pixel array detector that enables direct X-ray photon detection and counting, producing essentially noise-free images by assessing photon energy at the moment of detection. The standard X-ray source is the PhotonJet-i microfocus sealed tube with a graded multi-layer mirror, available with Mo or Cu targets and configurable as single- or dual-source; closed-circuit water cooling is used to control tube temperature and maintain reproducible flux. The XtaLAB Synergy-i is controlled by CrysAlisPro software offering automated crystal screening, strategy calculation, concurrent data reduction and automatic small molecule structure solution, and can be paired with optional AutoChem for fast, fully automatic structure solution and refinement during data collection.
