Model Overview & Specs

Overview

The TruPunch 3000 is a fully electric punching and forming machine featuring TRUMPF's patented Delta Drive, which enables a "flying" punching head so the sheet and support table do not need to move in the Y axis. Descending die and brush tables provide scratch-free punching and forming, and an integrated flattening function evens out surface irregularities during the punching process. The machine can be operated via the Touchpoint HMI and supports embossing of numbers and letters and MultiBend 90° bends of different lengths up to 2 in. Dimensional and performance data vary by format: Width 6282 mm (medium) or 7644 mm (large); Depth 6548 mm (medium) or 7666 mm (large); Height 2200 mm (both formats). Punching (E = 1 mm) is 800 1/min (medium) and 690 1/min (large); Marking is 1000 1/min (both). Punching mode travel: X axis 2500 mm (medium) or 3000 mm (large); Y axis 1250 mm (medium) or 1550 mm (large). Maximum sheet thickness is 6.4 mm for both formats and maximum punching force is 180 kN for both formats; the standard configuration is 165 kN at 650 strokes/min while the Delta Drive performance package provides 180 kN at 800 strokes/min. Other specifications include maximum workpiece weight 150 kg (medium) or 230 kg (large); MultiTool tool changing time 0.5 s (both formats); number of tools/clamps 18 pieces / 2 pieces (medium) or 21 pieces / 3 pieces (large); maximum part size via part removal flap 400 mm x 600 mm; maximum part size via fixed chute (with moving table) 180 mm x 180 mm. Average power input is 0.5 kW in active auto-shutdown and 3.3 kW in production. The TruPunch 3000 is presented for demanding series production requiring high productivity and flexibility, including an optional performance package and fast tool change for high component density. Automated solutions such as the SheetMaster and flexible cart systems support real multi-shift operation without additional personnel. Explicitly supported production tasks include punching, forming, scratch-free processing, embossing of letters and numbers, and producing 90° bends up to 2 in with the MultiBend tool. The machine also supports automated material handling and sorting: a large part removal flap enables automated unloading of parts up to 16 x 24 in., automatic sorting for parts up to 7 x 7 in., chip conveyor transport of punching slugs, SortMaster Compact removal and sorting of small complex parts, and automated scrap handling with the GripMaster.
