Overview

Binks IntelliFlow RCS3 is an electronically controlled, gear pump driven mixing and metering system designed for precise proportioning of coatings. It is compatible with both solvent and waterborne coatings and can be used in manual or automated setups supporting single or multiple applicators. The system is equipped with DLC-coated gear pumps and flushable color and catalyst pumps, delivering a lightning-fast 50 millisecond response time and eliminating the "winking" spray pattern common in piston pump systems. Ratio range is 1:1 to 100:1 with Ratio Tolerance ±1% and Flow Tolerance ±1%; Resin Flow Rate and Catalyst/Hardener Flow Rate are 3-2000 cc/min with a Total Flow Rate Range of 6-4000 cc/min and a Viscosity Range of Fluid of 1 cPs-3000 cPs. Selectable pump sizes include 0.3 cc/rev, 1.2 cc/rev, 3 cc/rev, 6 cc/rev and 10 cc/rev (supporting flow range 3 cc/min to 2000 cc/min per fluid channel), with 300 cc/min and 600 cc/min positive displacement pump options available on C side, and the system is expandable to 8 channels. Control and connectivity features include a 15-inch touchscreen interface, built-in cloud connectivity, and support for communication protocols including Discrete, Ethernet, Profinet, Device Net, CC Link, EtherCat, and Modbus; approximate weight is 300 lb and dimensions are Width 32”, Depth 28”, Height 74.65”. Metering and mixing of solvent and waterborne coatings with precise, electronically controlled proportioning across 1K, 2K and 3K capabilities and ratio range 1:1 to 100:1 are supported. The RCS3 integrates into manual or automated setups and supports single or multiple applicators and a wide range of spray technologies including rotary atomizers, bells, disks, electrostatic guns, and non-electrostatic guns. Rapid color changes and catalyst handling are supported by flushable color and catalyst pumps and a modular color changer with air/solvent purge and programmable flush volumes, with system configurations supporting up to 100 colors/catalysts and up to 250 recipes, and preconfigured 2K packages available for up to 12 colors and 4 catalysts. Remote operation, real-time monitoring and diagnostics are provided via the 15-inch touchscreen and built-in cloud connectivity, with common industrial fieldbus protocol support for integration into existing control networks.
