Overview

CosmoScan AX is described as an X-ray self-shielded, small-space micro CT and an industry-first micro CT for medium-sized animals. Wide Bore Gantry: bore diameter 322mm and a load capacity of 15kg. 0.5K-60μm imaging: can collect 512 slice images in as fast as 18 seconds and realizes a minimum 60μm high-resolution CT specialized for medium-sized animals (max FOV 220mm). The system is a portable, X-ray self-shielded small-space CT that does not require a CT room or operating room, is equipped with large casters for easy movement, and operates from a 100V wall outlet. Multiple analysis software options are available, including volumetric calculation software and other analysis tools used by research developers. Intended imaging subjects explicitly include small laboratory animals up to 15kg, from small rabbits to small dogs, with support for wide field-of-view observation of medium-sized animals (max FOV 220mm) at high resolution (minimum 60μm). The product is stated for use in a range of research applications, explicitly including safety testing in drug discovery and pharmacology efficacy/pharmacology testing, and is supplied with analysis software options for research developers.
