Overview

The Fluke TiS40 is a handheld infrared camera with a 160x120 detector and 9 Hz frame rate, sensitive across the 7.5 μm to 14 μm spectral band and specified thermal sensitivity ≤0.09 °C at 30 °C target temp (90 mK). It measures temperatures from -20 °C to +350 °C (–4 °F to 662 °F) with an accuracy of ±2 °C or 2% (at 25 °C nominal, whichever is greater) and provides one user-definable spot marker plus selectable high/low temperature alarms. Optical and imaging characteristics include a 35.7 ° x 26.8 ° field of view, IFOV (spatial resolution) 3.9 mRad, distance-to-spot 257:1, fixed-focus optics with minimum focus distance 0.45 m (1.5 ft), a 5 MP visible-light camera, a 3.5 inch 320x240 LCD rugged display, and IR-Fusion features such as AutoBlend™ and Picture-In-Picture with five presets. Image capture supports radiometric (.is2) and non-radiometric (.bmp, .jpeg) files and stores images on internal 4 GB memory with an optional 4 GB micro SD card. Ruggedness and utilities: IP54 enclosure rating, engineered to withstand 2 m (6.5 ft) drops, operating temperature range -10 °C to +50 °C, storage temperature -20 °C to +50 °C, relative humidity 10% to 95% non-condensing, vibration/shock ratings 2G (IEC 68-2-6) and 25G (IEC 68-2-29). Power is from one field-replaceable lithium ion smart battery pack (five-segment LED charge indicator) with Four+ hours runtime, 2.5 hours to full charge, AC operation via included power supply (100 V AC to 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz), and optional external charger support. Connectivity includes wireless capability and compatibility with Fluke Connect® for instant image upload via WiFi. Recommended calibration cycle is Two-years. Designed for industrial predictive maintenance, electrical and mechanical inspection, HVAC and building envelope surveys, the TiS40 is a one-handed handheld camera for routine thermal troubleshooting and documentation. Its 257:1 distance-to-spot ratio and 3.9 mRad IFOV enable temperature measurement of small or hard-to-access targets from a distance while the fixed-focus optics and minimum focus distance of 0.45 m support quick, repeatable scans. Captured radiometric images integrate with SmartView® software for full analysis and reporting, and wireless/Fluke Connect® upload streamlines transfer of inspection data to maintenance workflows. The camera’s IP54 rating, 2 m drop tolerance, Four+ hour battery life, and operating temperature range -10 °C to +50 °C make it suitable for factory floor environments and field service inspections within those environmental limits.
