Pow-R-Line Xpert general purpose distribution switchboards

Overview

Pow-R-Line Xpert (PRLX) general purpose distribution switchboards combine integrated Power Defense insulated case and molded case circuit breakers, metering, surge protection and other Eaton products. The switchboards are available in maximum 6000 A main bus rating and maximum 600 Vac/Vdc and provide continuous current ratings from 400-6000 A with interrupting rating options of 65, 85, 100 and 200 kAIC (up to 200 kAIC). RATED MAXIMUM VOLTAGE is 600 Vac and the product carries THIRD PARTY APPROVAL/RECOGNITION: UL891 / CSA; SEISMIC QUALIFICATION: Coming soon. Enclosure and mechanical options include ENCLOSURE TYPE: NEMA Type 1 and 3R, NEMA: PB-2, aluminum or copper bus options, service entrance capability, DEVICE MOUNTING: Fixed and Drawout Mounting, and ACCESS: Front & rear access. STANDARD INDOOR WIDTH DIMENSIONS are 20, 30, 36, 45, 51 inches; STANDARD INDOOR DEPTH DIMENSIONS are 30, 36, 48, 66 inches; STANDARD INDOOR HEIGHT DIMENSIONS are 90 inches, and CUSTOM DIMENSIONS AVAILABLE via the Satellite Manufacturing Facility. Protection and electrical features include PROTECTION DEVICES: Molded Case Circuit Breakers, Pringle Switches, Insulated Case Circuit Breakers, Fusible Switches, METERS: Meters, SURGE PROTECTION DEVICES: SPD series, and inclusion of Eaton’s Power Defense circuit breaker offering with Power Xpert Release electronic trip units and Power Defense molded case circuit breakers with communicating electronic trip units. Pow-R-Line Xpert supports HPX high-pressure contact switches that are 12x Make & 12x Break of the frame’s current rating, are UL 977 listed and support UL 891 switchboard applications, are available with built-in current, voltage, power and energy management, and are engineered for simplified replacement of Pringle bolted pressure contact switches in retrofit applications. The switchboards provide service entrance capability as an explicitly stated function. HPX high-pressure contact switches are presented for integration where reliance on step-up transformers (for example, distributing utility-supplied 208 Vac to 480 Vac) is increasing, and HPX switches are engineered for simplified replacement of Pringle bolted pressure contact switches in retrofit applications and to withstand large inrush currents of step-up transformers and other high-inrush inductive loads. Pow-R-Line Xpert’s Power Defense circuit breakers with Power Xpert Release electronic trip units and communicating electronic trip units are described as able to generate data to help optimize a facility’s performance and to help reduce the risk of arc flash events; related material highlights breaker health diagnostics, integral metering and versatile communications for monitoring and management.
