Digital Charge-Input Vibrometer (VM-1970)

Overview

The VM-1970 is a digital charge-input vibrometer that accepts a piezoelectric accelerometer as the input signal. Frequency range: Acceleration : 1 Hz to 100 kHz (±13 dB), 3 Hz to 70 kHz (±10.5 dB); Velocity : 3 Hz to 6 kHz (±10.5 dB); Displacement : 3 Hz to 600 Hz (±10.5 dB). Measurement range (for an accelerometer of charge sensitivity 1.0–9.99pc / m/s2): - Acceleration : 1, 10, 100, 1000, 10000 m/s² 5 range - Velocity : 3 Hz to 1, 10, 100, 1000 cm/s 4 range; 10 Hz to 1, 10, 100, 1000 cm/s 4 range; 30 Hz to 0.1, 1, 10, 100, 1000 cm/s 5 range - Displacement : 3 Hz to 1, 10, 100, 1000 mmp-p 4 range; 10 Hz to 0.1, 1, 10, 100, 1000 mmp-p 5 range; 30 Hz to 0.01, 0.1, 1, 10, 100 mmp-p 5 range. The H function outputs the value of acceleration detected after passing a 2 kHz to 15 kHz bandpass filter and then processed by a 1 kHz low pass filter, with unit the same as acceleration. Filter response: Lower cutoff frequency : Off (1 Hz), 3, 10, 30 Hz; Higher cutoff frequency : 300Hz, 1, 3, 10 k, Off (100 kHz); Cutoff : -18 dB Butterworth. Indication modes include rms (mean square value), EQP (equivalent peak estimated from average value), PEAK (peak value) and P-HOLD (held max. peak value). Level watching function provides an alarm level step of 1 Step for every channel with setting 0 to 110 % for every range, and alarm output via 1a Relay contact output / ITTL level output for each individual channel; contact capacity DC30 V 0.5 A, AC120 V 0.5 A. Outputs include waveform : voltage 0 to ± 5 V (load 10 kΩ or higher), level output : voltage 0 to ± 5 V (load 10 kΩ or higher), and calibration output : 80 Hz sine output. Ambient conditions: 0 to +40uff9f C / 85 %RH or lower (non-condensing). The VM-1970 is used for vibration measurement with a piezoelectric accelerometer, providing acceleration, velocity and displacement measurements within the specified frequency and measurement ranges. It presents results in rms, EQP, PEAK and held-peak (P-HOLD) indications and supplies waveform and level outputs plus an 80 Hz calibration output. The instrument also provides per-channel level-watching with adjustable alarm settings and relay/ITTL alarm outputs for monitoring purposes.
