Overview

The KR C5 for iiQKA.OS2 is a robot controller based on the iiQKA.OS2 operating system and described as an innovative controller for all applications with maximum reliability, versatility, efficiency and maximum safety. It features a space-saving design for seamless integration into versatile automation environments, is equipped with AI-based technologies, and is ready for ISO 10218:2025. Connectivity features include OT, IT & Cloud integration; Ethernet & digital IO interfaces; compatibility with existing systems; operation in heterogeneous production; and AI capability with an optional NVIDIA extension. Flexibility features include a modular cabinet system, the ability to stack multiple devices, US1/US2 power supply options, additional peripherals and interfaces, and integration of customer peripheral devices. Design and compliance items include optimized energy consumption, a simple hardware structure, intelligent design for easy operation and maintenance, low training costs, MASCHVO-safe, IEC 62443-compliant, Cyber Resilience (HW-side), SoC architecture, and Safe Boot. The controller is intended for deployment in versatile automation environments and for all applications requiring seamless integration into existing systems and heterogeneous production. Its connectivity supports OT, IT & Cloud integration and Ethernet & digital IO interfaces to connect with existing systems and peripherals, and its AI-capability with an optional NVIDIA extension enables AI-based functionality. The modular cabinet system and the ability to stack multiple devices support flexible installation and expansion, while design features aimed at low total cost of ownership address energy consumption, operation, maintenance and training.
