Overview

The HDP Series – Heavy-Duty Grade, Direct Pressure, Abrasive Blasting Cabinet System is engineered for large shops and high-volume blasting and is described in the input as the most productive blast system. These systems are highly customizable and can be upgraded and modified to meet specific applications and requirements. A standard exterior track allows easy part loading and unloading and supports heavy parts up to 5,000 pounds. Cabinet construction and controls include 12-Gauge Reinforced Continuously Welded Steel Construction, 60 Degree Minimum Sump Media Flow, a durable enamel finish (primed, painted and corrosion resistant), a moveable foot valve, and a dust collector and media reclaimer redesigned to fit into a compact footprint. The working chamber provides safety door interlocks, a self adjusting door latch, knife-edge self-sealing full gaskets, full-length hinges, a turntable, and (except on HDP2424) a track assembly. Operator- and consumable-related components listed are front and side round-corner view windows (Front: 13 1/2 x 28 1/2; Side: 7 1/2 x 11), an ASME Coded 1.6 ft3 pressure pot with remote control, automatic refilling and a sight glass to view media level, abrasive-resistant gloves (full length x 8, static resistant gauntlet style), 1/2 4-ply heavy-duty hoses with a whip end blast hose, and a 1/4 standard blast nozzle (long boron carbide with an aluminum jacket, silicon liner, urethane jacket). Approximate air requirements provided are: 3/16 nozzle: 22 CFM at 40 PSI and 30 CFM at 60 PSI; 1/4 nozzle: 40 CFM at 40 PSI and 55 CFM at 60 PSI; 5/16 nozzle: 70 CFM at 40 PSI and 90 CFM at 60 PSI. Dust collector configurations and optional upgrades listed include a 1 HP, 1 cartridge, 900 CFM dust collector (standard on HDP4836 and smaller), a 2 HP, 2 cartridge, 1210 CFM dust collector (standard on most models), and a 5HP, 4 cartridge, 1585 CFM dust collector (standard on HDP9648). Additional optional items include a 26 high silencer, easel, specialized porthole for feed screw cleaning, auto pulse jet filter cleaning, automatic rotating turntable, automatic chain driven in/out turntable, upgrade to 4,000 pound capacity, and automated open/close vertical door. Model-specific inside measurements, floor space, door openings and height clearances are provided for HDP2424, HDP4836, HDP4848, HDP6048, HDP6060 and HDP9648 in the input. Explicitly listed applications for the HDP Series include heavy duty blasting, continuous blasting, customized blasting applications, paint stripping, surface preparation, scale removal, etching, and peening. The product description also states the systems provide improved dust collection and media recovery for operational efficiency. Typical uses provided in the input are machining mark removal, heavy and large/long parts blasting, feed screw cleaning, mold cleaning and surface preparation, surface preparation for coating, parts cleaning, and rust removal.
