Super Mini Mill

Overview

The Super Mini Mill features larger 16" x 14" x 15" (406 x 356 x 381 mm) travels and all-new FEA-optimized base and column castings. It ships with a standard 10,000-rpm spindle rated up to 15.0 hp (11.2 kW) with a CT or BT 40 taper, max torque 22.0 ft-lbf @ 5000 rpm (29.8 Nm @ 5000 rpm), direct speed, belt drive, air / oil injection bearing lubrication, and air cooled spindle cooling. The table measures 36.0 in x 12.0 in with three T-slots (0.626 in to 0.630 in width, 4.33 in center distance) and supports 500 lb (227 kg) evenly distributed. The machine includes a 30+1 side-mount tool changer (max tool diameter full 2.5 in / 64 mm; large 5.0 in / 127 mm adjacent empty), 7.00 in (178 mm) max tool length, 12.0 lb (5.4 kg) max tool weight, 2.80 s average tool-to-tool time, 1200 ipm (30.5 m/min) rapids on X/Y/Z and a max cutting feed of 833 ipm (21.2 m/min). Additional features include a 45-gallon (170-liter) external coolant tank, rear Y-axis washdown nozzle for improved chip flow, an all-new enclosure design with side windows, heavier gauge waycovers, lower table height, and available auto door and auto window. The Super Mini Mill is described as perfect for high-production shops where space is limited and is offered with a space-saving footprint.
