Overview

Automatic Pensky-Martens Closed Cup Flash Point Tester, Model K71000. Conforms to ASTM D93 Procedure A, B and C; IP 34; ISO 2719; DIN EN 22719; JIS K2265; NF M 07-019. Flash point detection is provided by a thermocouple and ionization ring, and ignition can be electric or gas with software-selectable and manually switchable modes. Operating temperature range is ambient to 405°C, with heating rates in accordance to ASTM D93 procedures A, B and C and a stirring rate of 0 to 300 ± 5 RPM. Cooling is handled by an Integrated Dual Fan System that cools the test cup directly and the environment around the test cup, supporting a cycle time of 5 minutes as per the rapid fan cooling system. The instrument provides Automatic Barometric Pressure Correction. The system software runs on an integrated processor PC with an 8.4” LCD touch screen interface and can store over 65,000 results on the local hard drive; methods and data storage are limited only by PC hard disk drive space. Temperature calibration types included are: 2 Point Sample Temperature; Multipoint (>2) Temperature Calibration; and CRM Calibration with a built-in software function to automatically correct as per CRM tested. A three (3) position mechanical lift for the cover and motor assembly is software selectable between Open – Clean – Test for one-touch cup positioning. Communication includes LIMS connectivity via Ethernet and RS 232 ports and Two (2) USB ports (1 – Frontm 2 – Back). Security is provided by three (3) level password protection. Safety features include fire prevention, detection, and a fire suppression system that floods the instrument with inert gas. Electrical requirements are 110-240V 50/60Hz.
