AKT® eBeam Review

Overview

AKT eBeam Review is an electron‑beam (eBeam) review tool supplied by Applied Materials for semiconductor manufacturing environments. It uses focused electron‑beam imaging to visually inspect and characterize defects identified by optical inspection tools, enabling much finer spatial detail than optical review methods. The system is designed to integrate into semiconductor defect review workflows and supports review of wafers and photomasks/reticles. Typical technical characteristics associated with eBeam review systems include operation under vacuum, high‑voltage electron optics, and precision vacuum stages for sample positioning; these impose cleanroom, utility (vacuum pump, electrical), and maintenance requirements consistent with other production eBeam tools.
