Landis LTC1e

Overview

The Landis LTC1e is a compact, flexible precision small camshaft grinder designed exclusively for small camshaft grinding and incorporating the benefits of the LT1e. It features a fully hydrostatic spindle and way system, hydrostatic grinding spindle, and hydrostatic linear guide ways with a linear motor drive. The workhead is a direct drive live spindle with 25 kW spindle power, a speed range of 0 - 4,500 rpm, and motor torque of 29 Nm (continuous) / 102 Nm (max); the headstock doubles as a dresser and can achieve speeds up to 4,500 rpm. The machine uses CBN grinding wheels with a maximum wheel Ø of 120 mm and maximum wheel width of 40 mm, and a wheel surface speed of 125 m/sec; the footstock is hydraulically operated with a 25 mm stroke. Capacity and physical dimensions include a max. component swing 150 mm, max. grinding length 150 mm, center height 220 mm, max. workpiece weight 80 kg, overall dimensions 3,592 x 3,612 x 2,385 mm, and machine weight 9,800 kg. The LTC1e is intended for small camshaft grinding applications and provides reliable high-precision machining at high feed rates. It is suitable for components up to 150 mm in swing and grinding length and supports manual loading or configuration for a range of automation solutions.
