SMX5100XL is part of the SMX series High Performance Multi-axis Mill Turn Machine and the SMX series is equipped with a total of nine axes. Chuck size is 15 inch. Max. Turning Diameter is 830 mm and 33 inch, and Max. Turning Length is 4070 mm and 160 inch. Left and right spindles each have Max. Spindle Speed 2400 r/min, Max. Spindle Power 37 kW (50 hp), and Max. Spindle Torque 1643 N·m (1212 ft-lb). The machine length is 10749 mm (423 inch), height is 3398 mm (134 inch), width is 3597 mm (142 inch), and weight is 37000 kg (81571 lb). The machine features an orthogonal structure to maximize machining space and a 12 station high-rigidity servo turret for accurate and powerful cutting performance. B-axis and C-axis offer 0.0001-degree precision control, and minimized thermal displacement is achieved by an optimized cooling solution and smart thermal compensation. Front located tool magazine, a convenient ATC operation panel, and a side-to-side movable swivelling operation panel with adjustable height settings support tool changes and operator guidance. The SMX5100XL delivers powerful multi-tasking capability through the combination of left and right spindles, the B-axis milling function and a lower turret, providing higher productivity.
