K-SFM Smart Flow Meter

Overview

The Coperion K-Tron Smart Flow Meter (K-SFM) is presented as an alternative to traditional feeder configurations for reliable feeding, metering or monitoring of solid bulk material flows. The device has no moving parts, which the manufacturer cites as ensuring gentle handling of the bulk material. Bulk material flows through two measuring channels that use patented Smart Force Transducer technology to determine the actual flow rate. The K-SFM is available in two sizes: K-SFM-275 and K-SFM-350. K-SFM-275 feed rates: 3.3 to 60 m3/h [176 to 2120 ft3/h] depending on channel size. K-SFM-350 feed rates: 8.3 to 350 m3/h [293 to 12360 ft3/h] depending on channel size. Product contact parts are manufactured of stainless steel. Automatic taring during the measuring process is possible. The unit employs high accuracy SFT weighing technology and offers SmartConnex controls. Hazardous location options (ATEX, NEC) are available and the product is CE compliant. The K-SFM is used for gentle feeding and metering of bulk solids at high rates and for reliable feeding, metering or monitoring of solid bulk material flows.
