Leica Nova TM50

Overview

The Leica Nova TM50 is a monitoring station described with the phrase "every half second counts." It includes an overview camera and a telescope camera with 30x magnification and autofocus, and uses state-of-the-art image processing technology to deliver high-quality images for visual documentation of the monitoring environment. Obstructions in the line of sight can be inspected remotely to avoid safety concerns in high-risk environments. The Nova TM50 is designed for continuous operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and to withstand the roughest use in the most severe environments while operating throughout a wide temperature range and fully in bright sunlight and complete darkness. The Nova TM50 forms a component of a monitoring solution that integrates total stations, GNSS receivers and antennas, geotechnical sensors, software, and IT communication infrastructures, and Leica GeoMoS software provides a highly flexible automatic deformation monitoring system able to combine sensors; Active Customer Care provides global professional support and online services to send and receive data directly from the field. The Nova TM50 is presented for managing and monitoring ever-changing structures and for situations where engineers need to measure structural movements to millimetre-level accuracy. It is used for continuous 24/7 monitoring and for remote inspection of line-of-sight obstructions to avoid on-site safety risks. The instrument is intended to be integrated with GNSS receivers and antennas, geotechnical sensors, and Leica GeoMoS software for automatic deformation monitoring, with Active Customer Care and online field data services to reduce delays, provide consultancy support, and avoid costly site revisits.
