Overview

The MLC90A-1 is a Manitowoc lattice-boom crawler crane configured with a lattice-style boom and a crawler undercarriage for tracked site mobility and ground-bearing stability. Its lattice boom is modular, intended to be assembled from multiple sections so reach and hook radius can be configured to match lift requirements. The crawler chassis provides on-site travelability and load-bearing across uneven or softer ground compared with wheeled cranes, and the machine is configured to accept counterweight ballast and standard crane hoist/rigging packages for vertical lifting operations. Designed for industrial-scale lifting and placement tasks, the MLC90A-1 is suited to heavy construction, infrastructure, power generation, petrochemical, shipyard and wind-turbine erection applications where long reach or high structural stiffness from a lattice boom is required. Operators specify boom length, jib configuration and counterweight to tailor the crane’s lifting envelope and stability for on-site lifts during installation, maintenance or modular component assembly. The tracked undercarriage enables staged travel on site and positioning where paved access is limited, and the modular boom architecture supports transportable sections for remote or constrained project logistics.
