Overview

KELLENBERGER U300 is a 5-axis ID/OD grinding machine platform suited for high precision grinding applications. The machine consolidates functionality to extend the typical range of grinding machines and supports ID, OD, Bevel, Face, Radius, and Small Feature Grinding using roughing and finishing wheels to achieve higher surface finishes and consistent part quality. Features include multi-spindle technology, industry leading hydrostatic B1/B2 axes swiveling technology for both workhead and wheelhead side, and a fully integrated 5-Axis control architecture. A tool change spindle (ATC) is available for speeds up to 60,000 rpm mounted on horizontal or vertical axis; a center drive system enables grinding of ID's, OD's, and faces on parts from both sides with sub-micron tolerances; shoe grinding with radius dresser for precision bearing race grinding is provided in the C execution and uses single point diamonds or a driven rotary disc.
