Fluke Calibration 1502A/1504 Thermometer Readout

Overview

The Fluke Calibration 1502A/1504 are precision thermometer readouts designed to measure resistance and convert to temperature for laboratory and industrial calibration work. Both models provide an 8-digit, 7-segment yellow-green LED display with 0.5-inch-high characters, a 4-wire with shield, 5-pin DIN probe connection, RS-232 serial communication standard and optional IEEE-488 (GPIB), and ISO 17025-accredited calibration. Measurement period is 1 second and an exponential digital filter with 0 to 60 seconds time constant is user selectable to reduce noise and stabilize readings. Use the 1502A when interfacing with precision RTD, PRT or SPRT probes across high temperature spans (−200 °C to 962 °C) and when sub-millikelvin temperature resolution is required; the 1502A provides temperature resolution of 0.001 °C and resistance resolution down to 0.0001 Ω with excitation currents of 0.5 and 1 mA (user selectable, 2 Hz). Use the 1504 when measuring thermistors; it supports any thermistor range with temperature resolution to 0.0001 °C, resistance range 0 Ω to 1 MΩ (auto-ranging), and excitation currents of 2 and 10 µA (automatically selected) for low-self-heating measurements. Both models suit calibration laboratories, plant metrology benches, and production test racks where integration via RS-232 or GPIB, tight resistance-to-temperature characterizations (Steinhart-Hart, Callendar-Van Dusen, ITS-90 and IPTS-68 options), and controlled ambient conditions (operating temperature ranges: 1502A 16 °C to 30 °C; 1504 13 °C to 33 °C) are required; compact footprint 61 x 143 x 181mm (2.4 x 5.6 x 7.1 in) and weight 1.0 kg (2.2 lb.) simplify bench mounting and rack integration.
