TEMA CCI BASIC

Overview

TEMA CCI BASIC is Mühlbauer's vision solution for the surface inspection of rotationally symmetric products such as Open Top, Shell, Cap, Aerosolcap, etc. The system follows each test piece from entry into the inspection unit until the blow-off of a detected defective part. A suitable transport system that takes caps/lids/closures from the production line and feeds them clearly isolated to the inspection system can be supplied on request. Extremely bright LED lighting systems provide the illumination for inspection, and a sensor system together with a rotary encoder triggers the camera automatically when the part is in the optimal capture position. Inspection criteria explicitly include compound defects, scratches, dents, stains/spots and edge defects; on detection the system outputs a reject signal to remove the defective part from the belt and the blow-off process is monitored separately to ensure a 100% reliable test result. Performance data: suitable for diameters up to 230 mm (other dimensions on request); throughput up to 2.700 parts/min. The system also includes the additional feature TEMA STATISTICS GRAPH and is described as praxiserprobt with numerous installations worldwide, flexible in installation and hardware options, easy to operate with automatic functions and operator assistance, precise in inspection performance and ejection monitoring, durable hardware, and reliable with high availability and low maintenance costs. Used for automated surface inspection of rotationally symmetric parts (examples given: Open Top, Shell, Cap, Aerosolcap) to detect compound defects, scratches, dents, stains/spots and edge defects. When a defect is detected the system issues a reject signal to remove the defective part from the belt and separately monitors the blow-off action to ensure a 100% reliable inspection result. The solution can be integrated with an optionally supplied transport system that takes parts from the production line and feeds them clearly separated to the inspection unit, while LED lighting, sensors and a rotary encoder ensure optimal illumination and automatic camera triggering when each part is in the best capture position.
