Overview

The Ambr® 15 fermentation system was discontinued. It is an automated micro-bioreactor high-throughput system for strain selection in high-density fed-batch. The system executes 24 microbial cultures in parallel with working volumes of 8–12 ml. The Ambr® 15 cell culture system is a completely separate product and remains available for mammalian (and insect) cell culture applications. Service and support for the Ambr® 15 fermentation system remain available. The Ambr® 15 fermentation system is explicitly described for microbial strain selection in high-density fed-batch. It operates by running 24 parallel microbial cultures at working volumes of 8–12 ml. Alternative systems available for microbial strain selection and process optimization are Ambr® 250 Modular and Ambr® 250 High Throughput.
