Winding and Insertion Machine

Overview

Wickel- und Einziehmaschine integrates winding and inserting, the two core aspects of stator manufacturing, into a single AMT unit. The machine automatically winds wire into the inserting-tool upper parts, removing the wire-transfer tasks that operators commonly perform with single machines. The integrated sequence includes manufacture of deck sliders, winding, transferring coils into the inserting-tool upper part, and inserting the wire into the stator pack. The winding-and-insert combination machines can be equipped with one, two, or three winding machines to provide flexibility for production requirements. In semi-automatic systems the operator loads and unloads the stator pack into and out of the stator holder while the integrated machine manufactures deck sliders, winds, transfers coils into the inserting-tool upper part, and inserts the wire into the stator pack. In automatic systems the same machine operates for loading and unloading with robot systems, driven conveyor systems, or gravity conveyor systems for higher automation. Combining winding and inserting in one unit eliminates operator wire-transfer problems encountered with single machines and results in a significant increase in production.
