Overview

Fluke CV401 ClirVu® infrared window with a 95 mm (4 in) ClirVu® optic; optic insert diameter 95 mm (3.74 in) and viewing aperture diameter 87.63 mm (3.450 in) delivering a viewing aperture area of 6032 mm2 (9.35 in2). Overall window dimensions: width 147.1 mm (5.79 in), height 189.3 mm (7.45 in), and overall window thickness 23.0 mm (0.90 in); actual mounting hole diameter required 115.42 mm (4.544 in). Optical stack thickness is 4 mm (0.16 in). Mechanical and installation features include single-hole install capability, a jam nut locking system, cover and fastener permanently attached, and both hand-turn and security key door latch options (security key indicated). Recommended maximum panel thickness is 10 gage; compatible Greenlee® punch kit reference: 742BB = 2984AV/2983AV. Electrical grounding and safety features: AutoGround™ integrated. Arc-tested to IEEE C37.20.7 at 63 kA for 30 cycles @ 60 Hz (KEMA). Lloyd’s Register qualification for use on up to 11 kV marine switchgear, indoor or outdoor (offshore only). Voltage range: Any. Environmental, regulatory and performance ratings: IP67 at TUV, NEMA environment type Type 4/12 (indoor/outdoor), CSA C22.2 compliance and CSA type rating Type 4, humidity rating IEC60068-2-3 at TUV, and vibration rating IEC60068-2-6 at TUV. Designed for safe infrared and visual inspection of energized electrical enclosures and switchgear, the CV401 provides a sealed optical access point that permits thermographic scans, visible inspection, and fused IR/visible imaging without panel opening. Its ClirVu® optic supports short-, mid- and long-wave IR plus UV imaging, and the product is compatible with all Fluke cameras for handheld or tripod-mounted surveys and fusion workflows. Installation is suited to retrofit and new panels where a single-hole mounting is preferred; the required mounting hole diameter is 115.42 mm (4.544 in) and the unit accepts panels up to 10 gage. IP67 and NEMA Type 4/12 ratings plus IEC environmental testing make it appropriate for indoor and outdoor industrial environments, while arc-testing to 63 kA and Lloyd’s Register acceptance for up to 11 kV marine switchgear support use on high-energy switchgear and offshore electrical installations. Permanently attached cover/fastener, jam nut locking and security key latch options aid secure, repeatable field inspections.
