Overview

The Mitsubishi SG70 Sinker EDM delivers large-capacity machining, high-precision cavity burning, and next-generation AI-driven control. It is powered by the M800 Series Control, IDPM3 (Intelligent Digital Power Master), and SS Jump 5 high-speed NO-FLUSH machining. Work envelope and travels are 59″ x 43.3″ tank; 39.3″ × 27.5″ × 19.6″ travels. Heavy workpiece capability (table capacity) is up to 6,614 lbs, the dielectric system includes a 343 gal reservoir with chiller, and positioning speed is 157 in/min with a 19″ touch-panel operator interface. IDPM3 optimizes spark energy to reduce electrode wear for graphite and copper electrodes, and SS Jump 5 provides up to 40% faster jump speed for high-speed NO-FLUSH machining and shorter cycle times. Advanced thermal displacement compensation monitors environmental changes in real time to maintain stability across long burns, and ESPER II Navigator reduces programming time with a guided Q&A workflow.
