CW 9000 - Compact Coat Weight Gauge

Overview

The CW 9000 compact coat-weight gauge provides adhesive coat-weight and mix ratio measurements for flexible packaging manufacturing. It performs ultra-accurate measurements of coat weight and mix ratio across converting applications described as solventless, solvent-based, and water-based to tightly control processes. The gauge is designed for thin coatings below 5 microns/gsm on various substrates and delivers high-speed measurements with excellent profile resolution of high/low coating bands. Its compact design fits into single coating stations, duplex laminators, and triplex laminators, and it includes a large product stand-off to minimize contact with the web and avoid contamination. The system offers real-time visibility of the isocyanate mix ratio, is optimized for compact coaters and laminators, and provides built-in quality connectivity. Use the CW 9000 to measure adhesive coat weight and monitor mix ratio in flexible packaging manufacturing processes where solventless, solvent-based, or water-based converting applications are used. The gauge is suitable for controlling ultra-thin coatings below 5 microns/gsm on substrates such as clear films, printed films, metalized films, aluminum foils, and metallized paper. The LPS 1000 scanner option is engineered for the CW 9000 and can be mounted directly between machine side frames to scan webs while preventing dust from falling onto the web, with mounting options including bottom mount or end mount.
