Overview

The DX-2012AM is a magnetic declination test host that directly displays magnetic declination θz, total magnetic moment M and three-channel flux Øx, Øy, Øz and can present flux from a three-channel fluxmeter. Hardware comprises a high-speed 32 digitals M4 single-chip system, 3 sets of built-in fluxmeter and a 7 inches 800*480 resolution LCD. Fluxmeter ranges are 1mWb/10mWb/100mWb/1000mWb (four gears) with accuracy 0.5%; resolution is 0.01% and 0.1uWb min; instrument drift is 1uWb/min (corresponding to 10mWb test range after adjusting stably). Coil and calibration details: Z coil constant designed as 0.05 Wb*cm/V*s (calibration accuracy better than 0.5%), XY coil constant designed as 0.015 Wb*cm/V*s (calibration accuracy better than 0.5%), main axial coil arrangement described as Z coil places up and down to improve declination accuracy, and coil orthogonal angle is better than ±0.2°. Sample accommodation and measurement performance: test sample range (a) 30mm3～150mm3 (homogeneous area: 0.3%), test sample range (b) 30mm3～30mm3 (homogeneous area: 1.0%); repeatability and reproducibility of magnetic moment M and magnetic declination θz is less than 10%. Inputs, interfaces and on-board functions include input impedance options 1kΩ/10kΩ/100kΩ/1MΩ, stand-alone operation or PC connection via RS232, automatic recording of tested sample serial no., automatic recording of θz, M and Øx/Øy/Øz, comparison between θz and a setting value for pass/fail classification, and software handling of coil resistance by direct Ohm input with automatic fluxmeter amplification coefficient correction. Used in industrial-scale magnetic material and component testing for quality control, the DX-2012AM provides quantitative measurement and classification of magnetic declination and magnetic moment for small samples during production or lab acceptance testing. It is suitable where automated data logging of serial numbers and measured parameters is required and where pass/fail classification against a target θz is part of the QA workflow. Typical operational configurations pair the host with a 3-axial Helmholtz coil (DXHC150) and a PC/printer (examples listed as M4200 Lenovo PC and HP1007 printer) via the RS232 interface to capture test data and print reports; coil resistance is entered in Ohms to enable on-the-fly calibration correction for consistent fluxmeter amplification.
