Spark P2™

Overview

Weighing just 5.6 lbs and rated for 7h battery life, the Spark P2™ is a portable instrument designed for standalone field or lab operation — No PC required for operation. It provides rapid spectral analysis with a sweep time across the entire bandwidth of less than 5 seconds. In UWB/IEC mode it uses an ultra-wide-band detector with up to 60MHz bandwidth. It also includes a tunable narrow-band detector with 1MHz bandwidth in HF and 6MHz bandwidth in UHF configurations. All required signal conditioning (amplifiers, attenuators, filters, frequency shifters, etc.) is built in and software controlled, removing the need for external accessories. The device can power external amplifiers and sensors with built-in amplifiers directly from the unit, with that output controlled through the device software. Use the Spark P2™ where portable, rapid spectrum capture and targeted HF/UHF/UWB measurement are required — for example, short-duration screening of equipment, on-site troubleshooting, or laboratory signal surveys where quick sweeps and detector bandwidth flexibility speed inspections. The <5 second full-band sweep supports fast screening of multiple assets; switch between UWB/IEC mode for broad capture (up to 60MHz) and the tunable narrow-band HF (1MHz) or UHF (6MHz) detectors for focused measurements. Built-in, software-controlled signal conditioning and the ability to power external amplifiers or sensors directly simplify field deployments and reduce the need to carry external amplifiers, filters, or frequency shifters, while operation without a PC and 7h battery life enable independent, mobile use throughout a standard shift.
