Overview

ZS spindle head provides 4 axis movement. It features a continuous tilting head with torque motor +/- 120º and spindle speed up to 12.000 rpm. ZMS4 (Medium size) accepts tool holders SK-40 • BT-40 • HSK A-63 • CAPTO 6; axis travels (ZMS4): X Up to 12.000 mm | Y 800 / 1000 mm | Z 800 / 900 mm | B +/- 120º; spindle (ZMS4): 46 kW - 12.000 rpm. ZMS5 (Medium size) accepts tool holders SK-50 • BT-50 • HSK A-100 • CAPTO 8; axis travels (ZMS5): X Up to 12.000 mm | Y 800 / 1000 mm | Z 800 / 900 mm | B +/- 120º; spindle (ZMS5): 43 kW - 8.000 rpm. ZLS5 (Large size) accepts tool holders SK-50 • BT-50 • HSK A-100 • CAPTO 8; axis travels (ZLS5): X Up to 12.000 mm | Y 800 / 1000 / 1100 mm | Z 1100 mm (Op. 1300 mm) | B +/- 120º; spindle (ZLS5): 84 kW - 12.000 rpm. Vertical mill-turn configuration provides a built-in rotary table for 5 axis multitasking operations with table diameters from ø800 mm to ø1200 mm and max load up to 6000 kg; vertical table max speed up to 800 rpm. Horizontal mill-turn configuration supports chucks up to ø630 mm with speeds Up to 3000 rpm. Internal diameter machining includes an automatic changer of long boring bar for internal diameter turning operations. Grinding capability covers external cylindrical, internal cylindrical and flat surface grinding with a flat grinding wheel (tangential contact) and surface quality down to 0.8 μm depending on the process. Advanced gear hobbing functions support skiving-hobbing for spur and helical gears with gear qualities up to DIN 9 (roughing) and DIN 7 (finishing). Multitasking machining in pendulum working is provided by a "Non Stop Machining" solution that includes a central division wall, independent blocking of front doors and management software.
