Model Overview & Specs
Overview
FlexScan® Lift and Rotate Induction Heating System is presented as a modular, economy-focused induction heating platform and is described as the marketplace’s most cost-effective induction heating solution. The system combines modular power supply selection (including use of multiple supplies for dual operations), flexible Lexan guarding, and the ability to accommodate specialized tooling and fixturing. Systems arrive pre-configured and include Digital IQ control firmware with programmable recipes and ethernet connectivity; MOTUS touchscreen controls are available as an option. The machine is offered in FlexScan 12 (and a 12XL variant) configurations with single or dual spindles that extend from a stainless steel sink basin. The spindles provide 12 inches of vertical travel and a maximum rotation speed of 185 rpm, with a motorized upper center spindle for changeovers. Scan Length is FlexScan 12: 12 in [30 cm]; Spindle Spacing for FlexScan 12 is 8 in [203 mm]; Max Payload for FlexScan 12 is 75 lbs [34 kg]; Max Part Diameter (1-Up) is 8 in [203mm] and (2-Up) is 6 in [152 mm]. Machine dimensions without power supply are specified: FlexScan 12 W: 42 in [107 cm], D: 38 in [97 cm], H: 80 in [203 cm]; FlexScan 12XL W: 42 in [107 cm], D: 78 in [198 cm], H: 80 in [203 cm]. The built-in quench tank for FlexScan 12 is 35 Gal/20 GPM [132 L/75 LPM]. Optional technologies and features listed include quick disconnect coil mounting, robotics and material handling integration (including bowl feeders, rotary tables, step feeders, conveyors, and 6-axis robotic arms), QAS Monitoring and Alerting System, remote quench pod or quench media exchanger, VersaTemp Pyrometer control integration, pneumatic door, footswitch, X/Y adjustable table for heat station, and simple utility connections for installation. The FlexScan® system is described for heating processes explicitly including heat treating, brazing, soldering, shrink fitting, and heat staking. The platform is positioned to improve throughput and task repeatability for these processes. The system supports manual loading and can be adapted to automated material handling and robotic loading/unloading, and is described as suitable for both small and large operations while conserving floor space. It is also presented as a self-contained option for work cell integration.
