Model Overview & Specs
Overview
The MultiSwiss 8x26 is equipped with eight spindles and eight slides for main operations and can house up to three tools per slide. It uses eight highly dynamic synchronous motorspindles rated at 11-kW with high torque (16.1 Nm); the motorspindles operate independently and all spindles are equipped with a C axis, including the counter spindle. Spindle speed reaches 8000 rpm in only a few tenths of a second, and the machine features ultra-fast barrel indexing. The maximum length of standard parts is 65 mm, and Y axes can be fitted as an option. The machine is available in three configurations: without Y axis (entry-level); with three Y axes (intermediate); with six Y axes (complete). The MultiSwiss 8x26 is designed to produce turned parts while delivering very high levels of productivity. Its eight independent 11-kW motorspindles and ultra-fast barrel indexing support increased complexity and productivity within the MultiSwiss range. Optional Y axes (configurable as three or six Y axes) are provided to further boost workability for the most complex parts.
