Overview

NETZSCH Dry Agitator Bead Mill _SpheRho_ ® (Lab-size): NETZSCH has included two lab-sized machines in its _SpheRho_ product range. The unit is a continuous operating horizontal dry bead mill with a minimum volume for trials of 0.5 l ( _SpheRho_ ® 1). It features an air flushing system for shaft sealing and provides efficient surface modification. A low cleaning expenditure at the highest possible product recovery can be guaranteed. Compared to conventional ball mills, the _SpheRho_ yields extremely fine products combined with very high throughput capacities at low specific energy consumption levels due to its operating mode and stress characteristics; the equipment description also highlights savings in energy costs, ease of operation, a high degree of flexibility and reproducibility of results, and indicates scale-up to production size. The lab-sized _SpheRho_ machines can be used for development of new products, for processing smallest quantities, for quality control, quality assurance and process optimization.
