Overview

Developed by a group of top engineers and technicians with rich on ground and theoretical experience in the field of wire cut edm, WT 455 renders superb engineering supremacy and unmatched mechanical features. Maximum workpiece capacity is 900 × 650 × 245 mm and up to 550 kgs, with machine layout dimensions of 2236 × 2308 × 2070 mm and a machine net weight of 2100 kgs. Axis travels are X 450 mm, Y 300 mm, Z 250 mm, U 100 mm and V 100 mm, and the drive system is an AC servo motor; wire diameter (standard) is Ø 0.10 ~ Ø 0.30 mm and max. taper angle is +/-20° / 80mm. The filtration system has 700 L capacity with a paper filter and 14 L ion exchange resin, and both water quality control and water temperature control are Auto. Mechanical features include precise ballscrews and linear motion guides on each axis, AC servo motors coupled directly to the ballscrews, C1 class ball screws with manual single shot lubrication on X and Y, a stainless work table, upper-mounted U and V axes for accurate taper machining under high wire tension and high water pressure, a lower arm thermal cooling system, heavy-duty wire spool shaft design, and a hardened stainless work tank base with box-type casting for thermal balance.
