RX Solutions
Model Overview & Specs
Overview
EasyTom L is a compact, dual-tube X-ray CT scanner designed for industrial and academic 3D imaging applications and can be configured with micro-focus and nano-focus tubes in a single system. The system dimensions are Length 2.4m x Width 1.2m - Height: 2m and it is described as fitting through standard doors for installation. The EasyTom L supports up to 300 kV operation in standard configurations and an optional EasyTom L 450 - High Energy variant with a meso-focus X-ray generator up to 450 kV. Spatial performance ranges from nano-resolution to meso/micro ranges: nano-focus resolution 0.25µm (Jima) is stated, a micro-focus generator example of 2µm is provided, and an alternate ultimate resolution is noted down to 0.4 µm. The system offers a large internal scanning volume listed as Up to ×450 x 640 mm, a source-detector distance (SDD) up to 1000 mm, motorized detector-tube distance, and up to 9 moving axes. High-precision mechanics include a granite base, anti-vibration damping, linear encoders, and internal heat control. Usability and automation features include RX Solutions' X-Act software for control, acquisition, reconstruction and end-to-end automation, 14 different scan modes, a motorized centering stage, automatic filter changer, sample loader and motorized front doors for robotic loading. The system can switch from a micro-focus scan to a nano-focus scan in just 2 seconds and change detectors in less than a minute without calibration. Maintenance-oriented design elements noted are integrated high-voltage generators (removing the need for high-voltage cables), easy maintenance access, robust components, and an integrated standby mode. The EasyTom L is presented for both industry and academic research, supporting materials research, R&D, prototyping, troubleshooting, production and quality control workflows. The 450 kV high-energy option is explicitly associated with use for additive manufacturing, foundry, automotive, and aerospace inspections when greater penetration is required, with stated achievable resolutions down to 40µm for that variant. For research and experimental use, the system is described as suited to high-resolution studies for researchers, biologists and engineers who require micro-structure analysis at nanoscopic scales, and it supports in-situ experiments via dedicated access ports, cable and pipe feedthrough chicanes, numerous attachment points and optional in-situ stress cells. Automation and high-throughput inspection use cases are supported by the sample loader, robotic-loading-compatible motorized doors and 14 fast scan modes to enable extended or unattended scanning.
