Q-SHRED

Overview

Q-SHRED inverter drives for large shredder main motors. They lower shredder impact on weak networks, provide limited Power absorption (reduce supply capacity charges and eliminates power peak demand charges), lower electrical consumption by eliminating losses in LRS and Fluid Coupling, improve Power factor (cos φ > 0.95), and provide input harmonic suppression. Operational features include productivity increase by improving motor utilization and full box shredding, significant reduction of kWh/t processed, scrap recipes where rpm, torque and feeding speed can be optimized for different scrap types, rotor quick stop (<5 min with AFE solution) to increase uptime and safety, and an Eco-mode that idles the shredder and enables quick restart without impact on network flickering. Used as inverter drives for large shredder main motors. Supports optimization of shredding parameters through scrap recipes — rpm, torque, and feeding speed can be optimized for different scrap types. It also enables network-friendly operation via limited power absorption, input harmonic suppression, and power factor improvement, and offers operational modes such as rotor quick stop (<5 min with AFE solution) and Eco-mode for idling and quick restart.
