Overview

GLWH 2012-4120 CD2.H (38 - 400 kW) is a water-to-water heat pump with cooling function and a performance range of 38 - 400 kW, described as compact and space-saving while allowing optimum service accessibility. The units use refrigerant R-410A and employ scroll compressors; depending on performance they have 1-2 refrigerant circuits and are equipped with 2 or 4 scroll compressors in a tandem design. The refrigeration circuit includes an Electronic expansion valve (EEV), a plate heat exchanger, and electronic pressure transducers for high and low pressure. Control and regulation features comprise a unit main switch, safety devices for all electrical loads, autoadaptive microprocessor control, water inlet or outlet control for evaporator or condenser, automatic self-diagnosis, an alphanumeric display with multiple language selection, readout of fault messages, a remote on/off contact, a collective fault signal and an operating message device. Equipment and installation provisions include guide/follow-up with up to 5 units in a hydraulic circuit, master/slave operation capability via an optional sequence controller to connect up to 5 devices, connection to building control systems via Modbus, LonWorks and BACnet, the ability to connect an additional remote control, and various accessories; the unit is designed for indoor installation and is described as particularly quiet. The unit is designed for indoor installation and for connection to a well or geothermal source for the heating mode. An additional connection to a dry-cooler is possible to serve as a heat-sink in cooling mode. Multiple units can be grouped in a hydraulic circuit with guide/follow-up or operated in master/slave configuration using a sequence controller for up to 5 devices, and the unit supports integration with building control systems via Modbus, LonWorks and BACnet while allowing connection of an additional remote control and a remote on/off contact.
