Overview

The Dematic Route Delivery System for Case Pick using Voice-Directed Equipment and pallet trucks is an order fulfillment system for building mixed case pallets. Headsets provide verbal instructions (including location and case pick quantity) to operators who pick the case(s) from flow racks, pallet racks, or floor locations and transfer them to pallet trucks. The Dematic Warehouse Execution System (WES) directs case and layer picking by communicating instructions to workers via voice devices and receives orders from the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to plan picking workflows and accommodate delivery priorities. The Dematic WMS host directs receiving and put-away management and workers place full case pallets in pick locations. The system is offered in a pre-engineered, standardized design configuration intended to ensure predictable performance. Outbound fulfillment modes include Layer Picking using a manually operated industrial truck with clamp device (voice directed) and Case Picking as pick to pallet via a manually operated pallet truck (voice directed); mixed case pallets are built for each stop and delivery trucks are loaded in reverse route stop sequence. Products are picked by SKU description for items not stored in fixed location and multiple pallets can be picked concurrently for the same order. Primary applications include beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, and food distribution operations that make regular deliveries directly to convenience stores, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, schools, and hospitals.
