Overview

Twin-screw extruder models PolyTwin, EcoTwin and CompacTwin are multifunctional twin-screw extruders that offer flexible, reliable 24/7 processing for breakfast cereals, food ingredients, pet food and aqua feed products. The interior of the barrel is described as extremely resistant to wear and a barrel wear measurement service is available to detect wear and tear so parts are replaced only when needed. The machines provide high torque, variable screw speeds and pressure variables and feature a modular design that allows customization for specific applications. An intelligent recipe memory supports consistent end-product quality, helps minimize process and operator errors and enables faster switching between recipes. Additional hardware features include a patented, fully automatic screw ejection unit that enables the hydraulic unit to eject strongly entrenched screws without disassembling the machine or conveyor pipes, a cutter that can be adjusted during operation and moved to one side for control, access and cleaning, and a two-stage preconditioner that separates the mixing zone from the retention zone to enable intensive mixing at high screw speeds and gentle retention at low screw speed.
