AKT® eBeam Review

Overview

The AKT® eBeam Review is an electron‑beam (eBeam) review platform from Applied Materials intended for high‑resolution imaging and review of patterned substrates in semiconductor manufacturing and process development. It is an e‑beam based inspection/review system designed to image and analyze fine features and defects on wafers, masks/reticles or other patterned media using electron‑optical imaging techniques. The platform is delivered as a lab- or fab‑integrable review tool and is intended to be used within industrial cleanroom environments, with associated requirements for stable utilities, vibration control and facility integration. Typical uses include defect review and classification, process troubleshooting and verification of patterned features during technology development and production ramp. It is suitable for semiconductor fabs, mask/reticle shops, advanced packaging and micro‑device R&D where high‑resolution, local imaging and analysis of pattern fidelity and defects are required. Configured and integrated into fab workflows, the system supports engineers and yield teams performing targeted review, root‑cause analysis and verification of corrective process actions.
