Overview

The FI Series Base-Mounted End Suction Pumps provide quiet, dependable power plus hydraulic performance and dimensional characteristics that meet the very latest standards. The bearing frame includes sealed-for-life bearings that meet a minimum L 10 life of 60,000 hours, and optional re-greaseable bearings are available. A slip-on shaft sleeve allows easy seal maintenance in the field, and the exclusive dry shaft design eliminates contact between the shaft and circulating fluid. Flush seal line taps permit installation of a filter to protect the seal from non-condensable particles in open systems, and pressure tappings on suction and discharge connections are provided as standard. The pumps feature a fully welded, rigid structural steel base with enclosed ends and open grouting area for reduced vibration and improved alignment, a unique sealing system that prevents migration of water into the bearing frame, and a top centerline discharge design that simplifies piping layouts, reduces piping strain, and makes the pump self-venting. Models CM, FE and FM base-mounted and close-coupled pumps are obsolete. FI Series pumps are described as ideally suited for heating, air conditioning, pressure boosting, cooling water transfer, and water supply, and are listed for hot water heating systems, closed cooling circuits, air conditioning systems, hydronic heating & cooling, water/glycol concentrations up to 50%, and solar/geothermal.
