Overview

Model 6200Z is a high-temperature wettability tester that realizes wettability test evaluation of high-temperature molten metals. The instrument evaluates the wetting force occurring between plate materials and round bars and molten metal under an inert gas atmosphere by the wetting balance method, and it can analyze wetting phenomena from the obtained wetting curves. Key specifications: Sensitivity switching (SENSI): 50~10mN full scale, 2-stage switching. Dipping time (TIME): 1~999sec, 1~9999min (no decimals). Depth (DEPTH): 0.01~28.0mm; 0.01~0.99mm (0.01mm unit setting), 1.0~28.0mm (0.1mm unit setting). The 6200Z is used to evaluate wettability of high-temperature molten metals and to assess wetting force between plate materials or round bars and molten metal under an inert gas atmosphere using the wetting balance method. Measurement samples can be preheated in the built-in preheating furnace prior to testing, and the system can operate inside a glove box where vacuum and gas replacement are possible.
