Overview

SBI - EN 13823 performs a reaction test to a thermal attack of a single burning item on construction products other than floor coverings. Two specimen wings are mounted vertically at a 90 ° angle on the specimen trolley; in the lower corner formed by the specimen wings a sand bed burner simulates a burning item and a second identical burner, ignited shortly before the main burner, serves to determine the burner's heat development and heat release, and the test determines whether parts of the specimen drip off or fall off.
